Abuja - Nigeria’s oil production is expected to rise to a new high of 3.13mbpd by 2030, a new report has shown.
The figure is 33 percent higher than the current 2.35 million barrels per day mbppd that the country currently produces, reports The Guardian.
The report tagged: Nigeria’s renewal: Delivering inclusive growth in Africa’s largest economy, noted that the oil sector is expected to be growing by 2.3 percent every year.
The report equally noted that the sector is expected to contribute about US$108bn annually to the economy by 2030 compared to the US$73bn it presently contributes.
