Lagos - The Federal government has said that it stood by its claims
that the tenure of the suspended Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria
(CBN), Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, was characterised by various acts of
financial recklessness and misconduct, reports PM News
The position of the government is contained in a preliminary objection it filed against the Fundamental Human Rights suit filed by Sanusi at a Federal High Court in Lagos.
Mohammed Adoke, Attorney General of the Federation in the objection said Sanusi’s actions were inconsistent with the administration and vision of any central bank.
He averred that the court does not have the jurisdiction to entertain the suit as it was a matter relating to labour, employment and industrial relations, noting that it is the National Industrial Court that has exclusive jurisdiction to hear the case.
